Huh! Call that a flood, you should come to Nontaburi.... Still the best flood pics I've seen, how long did you have to hang around to get them?

I went down there for about an hour to take some pictures. I know the water wasn't that deep compared to some places, but the point is that this is a high tide flood in the city. The sea floods the city throughout the year at the highest tides of each month but it is worst during November. If we had rain as well as this then you can image how deep it would have been.

Rumors are that in about 50-80 years many areas in Bangkok will be under water...

Great photos. I would imagine those rumors of Bangkok being under water in 50-80 years are probably spot on, especially considering the drainage problems.

When I was in Bangkok in the spring a healthy 2 hour downpour completely put Chinatown under 3-4 feet of water. Amazing sight but ones the locals are used to seeing. I got a picture of a woman working at her desk in a shop that had 3 feet of water in it.
