It looks a very nice spot to be most times of the year-surprised the tour companies have not latched on to it-but maybe that's because, understandably, they want to keep some places for themselves and family.

Khun Don: the tour companies run their one-day "treks" in the same national park, just one valley south (Mae Wang). that one is not so narrow, it has a river that's manageable by bamboo raft, also hilltribe villages.
I didn't even hear about Op Khan for over a year, I think I only spotted a battered sign on the canal road near Ratchaphruek when the flower show was on.

You're such a brave girl with courage and determination to explore such wilderness alone sharing with us your log.
The sceneries so beautiful with the crystal clear water meandering among the rocks. How come the rocks can get melted!
Looks like this National Park has 4 seasons. It is also of equal standing with Jiuzhaigou(Sichuan Province)central China which is listed in Unesco World Heritage.

Benny, Benny.... you don't give up, do you?

absolutely no wilderness involved. I am a horribly lazy person. definitely didn't walk more than a few hundred metres yesterday, I assure you. this is a little park, nothing special, just nice and quiet and peaceful and great for a swim.

no, only 3 seasons. hot, rainy, cool. the trees shed their leaves in the hot season and it looks like autumn in continental climates but it is hot. rain brings back all the leaves. the cool season means lots of flowers.

I wish I could go to Sichuan. it is definitely on my list.
