How fascinating! So the authorities have simply abandoned the place to be reclaimed by jungle? That's crazy. At the very least you would think that someone would have thought to raze the place and use the land for something else (not what I am advocating!).

I think some historians and archaelogist should be consulted to explore,revive and retrieve some of the valuable artifacts and treasures that might be hidden in the underground tunnel which must have linkage to somewhere!
Who knows there might be huge piles of gold bars useful enough to revive the Thai Bahts!!Another source for tourism itinery.
