Glad to see you touching on working life. It truly is more pleasant here, less of the office bullying, I think, than in the west.

Though I'd keep my wallet in my pocket as far as starting a business and employing any of those daytime somtam grazers no matter how eye-popping the outfit!

Thanks lads for the comments. This was a bit of a delayed part two; was down in the south of Thailand for longer than expected.
I guess it's cause of a lot of these differences that makes living in Thailand for the English so much fun!

Very funny! I've been living in the US for too long (> 32 years) and my last visit was over 20 years ago so I certainly missed all the fun in Thailand. As for Thai politics, my boss (who's British)jokingly asked me almost every weeks if I knew who's Thailand's prime minister this week!
