Hi Richard,

I've been reading your blog lately and I really enjoy it. I really like your perspective of the Thai culture. I'm currently been living in Seoul, South Korea for about a year now and have really enjoyed living abroad.

But I have a trip planned to visit Bangkok May 7th and I was curious about the safety with all the political protests. I've only seen what's in the news, but I figure you probably have a much better perspective of what's happening down there. Any advice?

Take Care,
Sunny

Bangkok was never really dangerous for foreign tourists. In fact, many didn't even know something was going on as it isn't always easy to follow news in a foreign country. We are posting all the latest news and travel advice on our forums at ThailandQA.com. I suggest you sign up there.
