‘hah kin’ is not a term used to describe working as a prostitute. It is a general term for regular work.

Yup... "Hah Kin" means "look for food" i.e Je Dao probably meant he would be trying to find some form of livelihood once he reached America.

Yup.... "Hah Kin" as in 'Look for Food' can also mean 'to sell your body' (as in survival). This is old Thai slang which Thai newspapers often use on their headlines
