Just to add why we do it with "Toom" and "Mong".

Back in the days, to tell time, there was a time keeper who walked the street. The a.m. is indicated by a gong which makes the noise of "Monggggg..."

At night, after 6 p.m., the time teller used drums instead hence the sound "Toooom..."

Ahh yes - Thai traffic - 40+deaths a day.

Having spent a lot of time driving in thailand i think thai drivers are some of the most uncaring and impatient drivers on the planet. Every 15 years almost a 1/4 of a million Thais die on their roads.

not a lot to smile about really....
