This describes the floating market near our home. The boat across the river is where we commute to Bangkok. We will be in our Bangkok home the first of December until the beginning of February. We are also planning on going to India for two weeks in December. Many new experiences.

Good to hear from you again. Maybe we can meet up at the end of the year and you can show me around that area again like last time! Still a lot to see there.

I presume the pier you talked about for going to Bangkok is the one that goes across from the top of the "island" to Klong Toey port? I went across briefly on this trip to see what transport was like on the other side. There were motorcycle taxis but it looks like it is in the middle of nowhere.

****-
I remember my first trip to the Floating Market. It was an accident how I got there but fun nonetheless. I told my taxi driver to take me to Fortune Town and ended up at the Floating Market. This was my bad Thai at the time working against me! hehe

Dear All,

I am very keen to know about the floating markets in Bkk.

Can you advice which one is best. I am not sure whether to choose between Dameouk Saduak / Rose Garden or the one you talk about Banmun or Bang Li

There are so many so appreciate advice.

Thanks
S

Well, for a start, none of the floating markets you just listed are in Bangkok! Can I suggest you visit our Thai Travel Forums over at ThailandQA.com as you will find many people there waiting to answer your question.
