wow. is that the same temple where we (me and my mother) hardly even dared to go round the chedi in March because of the children sniffing glue, piles of rubbish, rats, stray dogs, and generally a cityscape I would rather associate with India, not with Thailand? it was the most shocking place I had been to in 3 years in Thailand. I remember reading these blogs about the temple fair every year, and I just couldn't put it all together. anyway. marvellous transformation, then. I wish we had holidays around here in October, a temple festival, boat race, anything, but none. difficult to start second term now with not much to look forward to until loy krathong.

The festival looks very great. Thai temple fair is nothing like others; I mean that's the place where you get to know Thai cultures, lifestyles and also get to mingle with local people. If you'd like get to the real Thai touch, visit a temple fair.

I have viewed many of your postings and have still to decide what is mightier your camera or your pen. Nice article and a wonderful night shoot of the temple. Best wishes from a very envious Hoo Don.

Again, another wonderful example of Thai’s rich, diverse, and magnificently colorful culture. And the view at night was beyond words. I have seen very few things (or maybe none at all) as beautiful as the procession. This is why I love Thailand so much. There are so many beautiful things to discover and see that you’ll only find in this part of the world.
