Interesting to note that Ban Phli pre-dates Bangkok by 200 years or so. Reading the histories it is all too easy to forget that this area was occupied at all prior to the 17th century, as most histories jump straight to Ayutthaya. Bangkok itself often only getting mentioned after Thaksin at Thonburi as a village en-route to Ayutthaya, consisting mainly of Wat Pho and some huts !

I am glad to see you started your travel blogs again. I have really missed them as you always give good tips on places to visit that are not in the guidebooks.

i´m really excited to read about Bangphleeyai. I´m now in Ibiza (an island off Valencia shore in Spain). But the first time I was in Bangphlee was more than 35 year ago. Since then I have kept going to Bangphlee every few years. Thanks for remembering me all these places. Especially Bagphlee talat.
