The pictures were well-taken. It is a pleasure to see the myriad of colours in the photographs.

Thank you for the useful tips. There will be one less gullible tourist the next time.

Excellent, this is just what I'm looking for. I'm the tourist who doesn't want to see all other tourists.

I was at those markets just three weeks ago on my very first trip overseas (I'm 45)and even though I arrived with the multitude of farang, I thoroughly enjoyed the canal trip and the markets. Although those markets were the most aggressive I had been to in my trip to Bangkok! I was exhausted just trying to get out of the place :) If you are a nervous tourist like I was and being a first timer like me, it suited me just fine. I had a such a great time in Bangkok but a week was enough :) Love your blog.

this blog was my guide to the market. Thanks for guiding me my friend. I appreciate your concern to reach the market at the early hours as have a bit of remorse in not able to make it.

For all other visitors there's a piece of advice the merchandise in here is lot more expensive than in the Mochit market of bangkok.

loved the trip and your blog. thanks

I like your what u hv shared here, thank you. I will be in Bangkok from 17-20 Apr with my girlfriend and would like to take a trip to the floating market. Do u know any taxis that can take us there around 6am from our hotel in Sukhumvit soi 6 and bring us back at abt 9am? How much do u reckon it would cost?

Finding a taxi shouldn't be a problem though I have never gone there by taxi. I suggest you post this question in our forums (link at bottom of article) as we have members who have been there by taxi and can advise. I see there are several threads there now with people discussing the market.
