Richard how do you-or more precisely your stomach-cope when you come back to the UK where just one dish in a Thai restaurant can cost you $26? English food must be such a shock!

Great close-up pics. Now I'm sitting here with my mouth watering. Looks like it'll be a Thai lunch for me. At our favorite restaurant here, it'll cost $25 for two. That includes just 2 items, rice, and tips.

I think you have a good idea to turn Thai fod into a series. Please eat more seafood so I can look at them too. Perhaps, you can post the menu and let the readers select? :)

Another week to go before we're in Thailand and can have the real and unaltered Thai food.

@Bergen - There isn't a menu as such as these dishes are from roadside stalls. There are bowls of curry on the tables and we just point to what we want to take home in plastic bags. They cost about 20-25 baht per bag.

If anyone wants to suggest a meal for next week then please go ahead and post here as a comment. However, don't forget our budget is 100 baht for everyone.

Here is my suggested list of Thai food in English transliteration.

1. po pia taud (fried popiah)
2. moo pan gorn taud (?)
3. gaeng jeud wun sen (rice noodle soup?)
4. taud man kao pod (fried corn)

:)

Thanks for your consideration Richard, but I was only joking. I'll look at whatever you guys decide to order and post their pics here. I'm not picky, and will appreciate them all the same.
