Let me know how I can send some of the many English novels I have around here.

I would have to send them slow-boat but they would get there eventually.

Who and how? :)

I have already had several emails from people asking about where to send books. It is best to send to the Paknam Web office. This is because the metal detectors at the prison are very sensitive and even silver foil stickers or staples will not pass. Anything that doesn't pass will be returned to sender unopened. It would be cheaper for us to resend rather than you.

Thanks for offering to help. Before we started this book campaign, the foreign prisoners at Samut Prakan prison had nothing to read at all. It is not like the big prisons in Bangkok who have a steady stream of visitors. People in the provincial prisons are often forgotten.

Yes, and what is your point? No-one is denying Gor is a convicted criminal. He himself has never denied his guilt. I think that takes some guts for him to write honestly about his experience. Much more than someone hiding behind an anonymous username.

True, there are millions of prisoners around the world. But at least Gor is doing something to improve the lives of others. What have you done for the people of Northern Carolina? You are not feeling jealous are you?

I don't think Gor is a "common criminal". He is a kid who made some mistakes and has clearly stepped up to the plate to take responsibility.

He who is without sin.. and all that.

You know?

Doing Time for using drugs is the greatest waste of human resources. The time should be done by the bosses, but they seldom do, as they are protected from the politicians.
Prisons are just the mirror of our Societies. As more People are doing time as more criminal the politicians and the Society they are connected too. Ex. Gulags during Stalin times, Concentration Camps by the British in their African occupied holdings, the Nazi Camps, The Chinese detention Camps till present time, and at present the torture Camps and prisons of the USA. It is not human who is the criminal, it is the Law who makes the Criminals as the Mirror for the Society, and to protect the power of the corrupt politicians and the benefits for Corporate benefits.
