Nice guide for day travellers. :)
I'll like to add for:
10. Thailand Cultural Centre -- Local pubs at Ratchadar Soi 4 and Soi 8. Crowds are a little rowdy though.
11. Huai Khwang -- Night market here at the 4 way inter-section. Lots of nice street food too if you feel like supper.
15. Phahon Yothin -- just further down Central Ladphrao, there's the Major Imax Cineplex where they have a nice night market beside. Lots of locals like to shop there and you can spot Thai celebrities there sometimes.

2. Sam Yan - The landmark for this station ought to be Wat Hum Lumphong.

You mean "Wat Hua Lamphong" . :) The locally famous temple where you can donate a sum of token and have your name written on a piece of paper and pasted on a "coffin" for "homeless" deceased people.

Chai khrub. Sorry for the typo.

It is very difficult not to notice it when one gets out from the MRT station.

I hope the MRT or Skytrain network will be extended to Banglampu.

But, given the political instability, any concrete plan will have to wait until after the election.
