Thank you for the advise,my parents and other relatives are coming to Bangkok in October this year, myself and my wife are flying from Phuket to meet them, this gives me good knowledge of where to take them when they arrive.I think the skytrain will become a challenge for all of us including my wife,as she gets lost in Bangkok at the best of times, looking forward in more of your Bangkok tour blogs!

Kraina - thanks for your interest. I need to tell you that none of these websites in the Paknam Web network will allow discussions of the nightlife scene if you mean bargirls and in particular Patpong and Nana. When we do travel blogs, we will only tell you about venues suitable for families. The blogs that we have had about lady boys are only written from the cultural viewpoint.

Simon Huckstepp, the sky train is the easiest method of transport in Bangkok. Just a shame it isn't so extensive. Look out for future blogs on tourist attractions along the sky train and Metro routes.

Thanks, an excellent and useful blog of what to see in a short visit to Bangkok. I hope you continue with blogs like these as I find them very useful. I am sure other people think the same.

I am surprised that you visited so many places in just one day. I probably will allocate 2 days for similar itinerary. I would like to spend a little bit more time taking pictures, and possibly chat with female university students in Wat Pho ;)

It wasn't a full day. we started at 10.30 a.m. You could easily add another 3 hours to some of these places. Plus I had time to take about 500 pictures.

Be careful not to be CONNED into buying too many mambo jambo prayer stuff near Erawan Shrine. My Singapore friends were ripped off and paid 200 bahts. Dont pay more than 20 bahts.

Hi, I just saw your site. Its great. i am moving to Thailand in 2 weeks. will start in bkk. Am wondering if should rent apt/condo or stay in inexpensive but nice guest house or hotel (500-800b a night) hopefully with internet. I know Nana but around soi 4 is too much partying. Do you have any ideas in the higher sois and better place around sukumvit. Thank you

paul
