Nice to see that Rayong is still the same family type beach it was decades ago!

Most things change, Rayong is trying to maintain it's image.

btw, all the great noodle stalls really add to the beach going enjoyment, like you mentioned, no need to cart a truckload of stuff to Rayong, just plop down in one of those cozy beach chairs and the food and services will come to you!

These features are what makes Thailand and nice places like Rayong so user friendly..

More power to "Thai" beaches.When I made my first visit to Bang Saen a few years ago it brought back memories of Australian beach culture in the sixties and seventies.

Not for the food stalls which didn't exist then or now, but for the family orientation and the simple enjoyment of just being on a beach

Simple times, simple pleasures.
