I was there last year in December 2005. Lovely place, but it was only a day trip. It'd be nice to spend a day there. My buddy and I hopped on a bike and explored the countryside. Very nice view, not much traffic, and met some interesting people too. Went all the way to Big Buddha statue, about 15km from the town. Along the way there are a couple of shacks that offer isaan food, it was pretty nice.
