I hope you was driving an old holden station wagon when you were touring Australia.
On my last 2 trips to Thailand I have been wanting to visit the "bridge over the River Kwai", but never got the time to go there.
This movie by the way was where my parents went for there first date, as my mother used to get free movie tickets, because of the posters were displayed in her mothers shop. So for sentimental reasons, I wanted to see this bridge, for my parents, Maybe next time.

Funny, its been quite a mystery to me trying to recall the exact events and images that led my to take a diversion to Thailand first time. Seems like one of those 'mystery forces' that leave no trace!

I never previously bothered to go and see the Floating, it seemed a bit bizarre as I imagine most nuns would float. I do wonder how this practise was first started though!
