Best wishes.

Congratulations, Steve. Your wife looks very nice, hopefully you have a long and successful marriage.
Gor is looking much older now. It seems, a long time since he has been a teenager.

Hey friend,
I recently sent you a much overdue e-mail. You were so kind to me on my summer visit that I feel neglectful that I haven't congratulated you sooner.
You make a great groom with a lovely bride.
Your story had me visualizing all those Suphanburi people and events. I felt a great sense of deja-vu myself.
Please have a long, happy and prosperous life with Su. You are deserving of all things good.

You lucky man, she's gorgeous. Your wedding was very different from mine. We had to be up around 4am! to gives almes to the sick monks before the actual ceramony. I remember having a terrible hangover and like you not really knowing what was going on. Yes, the photos they seemed to go on forever with every member of the family and friends wanting their own photo with the bride and groom. In the evening we had a little party which was ok but i was done for by then, but a great day and one to remember.

Best of luck to you and your wife

Congratulations to you both! Danged if I know what to say here, good thing I wasn't at the wedding to make a toast! She's a lovely bride and I wish for all the best for a long and happy life together.

Btw - nice to see Gor again but I think you and the new Mrs. Steven S. make the better looking couple ;-)

Again, thanks a bunch for all the 'well-wishes'!

Rather nervous on the wedding day to whether the 'bride' (a certain Ms 'Su') was going to actually turn up or not i had it all planned to propose to paknamweb's Mr Gor himself. Thankfully however, Ms Su didn't ditch me......

Ms Su is still in Bangkok completing her duties before moving into our new house here, around the middle of this month. Her com has thrown a wobbler so unfortunately she hasn't read the comments yet but i'm sure she'll be chuffed once she does.

Thanks for all the comments.

Thanks for the insight on the ceremony. My son is getting engaged on Jan 21 and I am quite anxious and honored to be at the bride to be's home for this event. This will be my 3rd trip to Thailand and certainly not my last!

yin dee duay na ka, koa hai mee khwamsuk maak maak ka, mee panyaya suay maak na nia, your wedding is different from us, we only have about 20 people(relative only) come to my house ( in Chaing Rai) because is very small wedding party, and we not have SID SOD ( money and gold from the groom)because my husband have got enough money ( he only 25 and me is 20 so we have no money for save yet) but my parent is fine so we move on with it, now we are very happy with family and little new baby son , he is wonderful husband, take care and very warm to me and our son.

My advice: Never get married.

*****
Thai marriage registration varies depending on nationality. The Thai marriage can be solemnized with or without a Betrothal Ceremony in ritual manner and also through court. The betrothal ceremony is nothing but a promise to marry and in the form of an agreement.
