It's amazing that the same things can be described so differently, when we view them from alternative cultural perspectives. Each view is a snapshot from a different angle. When combined, they allow us a deeper understanding.

It seems we are all connected? We are just finishing the navratri (9 nights) festival in India. These are nine days of prayers and part-fasting. Also in many places its accompanied by all-night dancing!

My daughter is Singapore, my son in KL and my wife were on vegetarian diet for the past 9 days. I only did it on best effort basis. Tried 6 days, take a break on day 7 to join a party and return on day 8 and 9. I was surprised to see my Physicist/Mathematician son praying in the temple. Though he was a heathen. Next year I will go Phuket.

Thats a great update of information, infact it is always difficult to find vegetarian events here in thailand on a regular basis, well i guess having the one event is something to look forward to...
