Man, love that blog! At first, I thought the government has some massive rubbish reform policy lol..... That is not the case as people seem to be making money from recycling more these days which really helps the environment in the long term.

I have spent time in Thailand doing participant observation with scavengers in the northeast of the country (Khon Kaen). I am currently writing an ethnographic study of scavenging in Khon Kaen based on my participant observation experiences. Do you know of any scholarly works/ resources about scavenging in Thailand?

I am interested in refuse removal or recycling in Chiang Rai. More specifically in Ban Du where my in laws live. They don't know where the tip is and don't have rubbish collection. They just burn everything and I don't like it. What can be done? Apparantly the local council doesn't want anyone to know where the tip is.
