Tonsai Beach, between Ao Nang and Railey, is only accessible by boat. Surrounded by towering cliffs and thick jungle, it is a relatively peaceful haven for backpackers looking for a simple, quiet place to stay for a couple of days. Ok, maybe apart from the squirrels and monkeys jumping on the roof of our bungalow at night, which completely freaked us out at first. So, there are plenty of opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural habitat as well – oops, almost. Well, maybe the place is not as unspoilt after all!
