On my first visit to Wat Phra Kew I had taken this snap of the temple. Subsequently, over the years, I have found that many photographers, both professional and amateur, have captured the temple from the same vantage point. I wonder why?
Is it because there is an opening there where people stand after visiting the temple? Or is it the place where every one gets tired so that while taking a breath, a few shots are taken?
The temple is very colourful and even small earthen pots with red lilies look fantastic. There is also the miniature Angkor Wat. There is also a miniature Mount Kailash. But this image seems to be the most representative.
